Postdoctoral Fellowship in Gene and Genome Editing Therapy, and Synthetic Biology : Boston, MA, United States

The Grousbeck Gene Therapy Center is recruiting a highly motivated and skilled life-scientist who wants to participate in a vibrant program aiming to bring basic discoveries into translation in the field of gene and gene editing therapy. The position seeks to work on the crossroads of Synthetic Biology, Virology, Immunology, and Molecular Biology, in order to formulate novel technologies to overcome barriers to the broad clinical realization of gene therapy.

The Grousbeck Gene Therapy Center, located in the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA (USA), is focused on the translation of genetic therapies into the clinic by developing transformative technologies that unlock applications, and studying the mechanisms enabling, preventing, or limiting therapeutic gene transfer.

Applicants should ideally have a profound background and extensive experience in (1) molecular biology and cloning, (2) Next-Generation Sequencing Modalities, and (3) a strong interest to work on technology development for gene delivery, gene and genome editing therapeutics. A background in immunology and virology, and experience with animal models are desired, however not required.
