Would you like to join WMG’s thriving Cyber Security Centre at the University of Warwick and work with world leading experts, improving your research portfolio?

WMG’s Cyber Security Centre are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work on an Innovate UK funded project on Protecting Data to Build Strategic Partnerships in Construction. The project involves developing and applying innovative data protection and information security techniques essential for a supply chain analytics tool.

The aim is to create a digitally-enabled environment within which construction organisations can build trust and create strategic partnerships necessary to achieve significant cost reductions in the construction industry supply chain. Data security issues include potential security breaches due to weakness in application security architecture, implementation and configuration. Breaches also occur as a result of poor access controls to sensitive data and the flow of that data between parties.

You should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant discipline and have experience in threat analysis as well as data requirements. You will have proven research experience and well developed communication and collaboration skills to provide the interface between industry, academic partners and the project management team.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD thesis, any offer of employment made to you will be an under-appointment to the post of Research Assistant at Level 5 in the University’s grade structure and with a salary of £28,143. Once your PhD has been awarded and we have evidence of this from you, you will be appointed to the substantive post of Research Fellow at Level 6 and with a salary within the range stated above.
