A NIH-funded postdoctoral position in Immunology is available in the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research and the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Indiana University School of Medicine. The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Virology or in a related field. Candidates are expected to have intensive experiences in Molecular Biology, Flow Cytometry, Immune cell purification and culture, small animal procedures, etc. Candidates should also have a solid background in adaptive and innate immune mechanisms during infection. Outstanding time management and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are required. Projects in the laboratory focus on the host protection and recovery from diseases during respiratory virus (influenza and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV)) infection. The laboratory pursues a multidisciplinary approach that includes immunology, virology and pulmonary biology.
