Postdoctoral Position in Operator Algebra : Odense M, Denmark

In connection with the project 'Local and global structures of groups and their algebras' (funded by the Villum Foundation) Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Southern Denmark is opening a two-year postdoctoral position for a young researcher with a research profile in operator algebras and/or geometric group theory. The teaching load will not exceed one semester per year, corresponding to 10 ECTS, and the teaching may be conducted in English. 

The project funding these positions is centered around the interplay between groups and operator algebras, and the applicant is expected to take active part in aspects of this research, but will also be given ample time to pursue his/her individual research projects.

Formal requirement: The candidate is required to be fluent in English and to hold a PhD degree in mathematics at the starting date of the position.
