Postdoctoral position in theoretical ecology: Ecosystem stability in spatial food webs
Job Description
A postdoctoral position is available at the Centre for Biodiversity Theory and Modelling (CBTM), based at the CNRS Experimental Ecology Station in Moulis, France. The mission of the CBTM is to foster and perform innovative theoretical research into the ecological and societal causes and consequences of biodiversity changes. We seek a postdoctoral fellow to develop new theory on ecosystem stability in spatial food webs as part of the project BIOSTASES (BIOdiversity, STAbility and sustainability in Spatial Ecological and social-ecological Systems) led by Michel Loreau and funded by a European Research Council Advanced Grant.Candidates should meet the following requirements:
(1) have a PhD in ecology, mathematics or a related field;
(2) have strong mathematical skills;
(3) be creative and independent;
(4) have a good publication record.
The position is available for a period of three years starting preferably in early 2016. Salary is in the range €30,000–41,600 per year depending on experience. Review of applications will begin on October 1st, 2015, and continue until the position is filled.
