A postdoc position is available for a highly motivated graduate researcher in the field of protein misfolding and aggregation in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, protein science, neuroscience or a related discipline with emphasis on protein misfolding and aggregation. Proven record of working with neuronal cell culture is mandatory. Applicants without such background will not be considered. Applicants with experience working with amyloidogenic proteins will be given preference. Additional preference will be given to applicants with expertise in pharmacology and drug development. The position is in the laboratory of Dr. Gal Bitan in the Department of Neurology, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
