We offer a postdoc position for 2 + 2 years at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Department of Biomaterials, in Potsdam, Germany.

The position is part of an interdisciplinary project which aims to explore cortical porosity and the osteocyte network in human bone.
You are responsible for:
• Measurements using micro-computed tomography including technical supervision of the instrument
• Measurements using confocal microscopy
• Data evaluation using computational tools and visualization

In addition, your research in an interdisciplinary environment involves regular contact with the cooperation partners in medicine and biology.

You have completed your studies with a doctoral degree in Physics, Biophysics, Biomedical engineering or a comparable field of study.

Furthermore, you should have knowledge in the field of X-ray physics, structure characterization, material sciences, as well as in project management. Very good English language skills as well as technical and analytical understanding complete your profile.

The work on the project could start as early as September 1, 2014.
