UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS MEDICAL SCHOOL-POST DOCTORAL OPPORTUNITY
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Craig Ceol in the Program in Molecular Medicine and Department of Cancer Biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Our laboratory uses the zebrafish and mammalian cultured cells to study genes and biochemical mechanisms that regulate melanocyte development and melanoma progression. We utilize a range of genomic techniques to identify and study candidate genes and pathways. We also complement these studies with unbiased genetic approaches designed to discover novel developmental and tumorigenic mechanisms.
We are seeking a candidate who is motivated, enjoys creative thinking and brings enthusiasm to research. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D in the biological sciences.
Applicants are invited to send a curriculum vitae, contact information of three references, and a statement describing previous and current research interests to Craig.Ceol@umassmed.edu.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. As an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, the University of Massachusetts recognizes the power of a diverse community and encourages applications from individuals with varied experiences, perspective and backgrounds.
