The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense invites applications from outstanding individuals for two positions as professor in protein chemistry / functional proteomics.

The successful candidates hold a PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field and have a strong research profile in protein sciences and proteomics, including biological mass spectrometry, as documented by outstanding publication activity, international collaborations, and ability to attract external funding. In addition, commitment to teaching and the ability to lead a research group, including supervision of master’s students, PhD students and postdoctoral researcher, are required.

The main teaching commitments will be in the departmental curriculum in biochemistry and molecular cell biology, and in biomedicine. Successful applicants will also serve on departmental committees and contribute to departmental administrative affairs, as directed by the Head of Department.
