Postdoctoral Scientist – (vacancy ref: IRC104913)

The Medical Research Council Toxicology Unit, located at the University of Leicester, is an internationally renowned institution delivering field-changing mechanistic insights into toxicology and disease. The Unit is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and offers excellent opportunities for postdoctoral training.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic postdoctoral scientist to join the Gain of Function of Mutant p53 group, led by Dr Patrica Muller, to work on projects investigating the role of mutant p53 in invasion and chemo-resistance. It is expected that this will lead to publications in high impact journals. This is a three year training and development position suitable for scientists who have just completed (or about to complete) their PhD in a related discipline. You should have significant knowledge of cell biology and oncology with good experience in cell culture techniques, RNA and protein work.

The salary will be in the range £28,083 – £28,984 per annum.
