The project seeks to investigate modulation of key ion channels in pain-sensing neurons. The project is multidisciplinary and involves electrophysiological, imaging, biochemical, molecular-biological, and behavioural studies, therefore experience in at least some of these methods is essential; background in peripheral pain pathways is also welcomed (although not necessary). You will have a PhD in neuroscience, physiology or pharmacology (or equivalent) and lab experience with the ability to use sophisticated equipment as well as good communication skills. We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious and self-motivated scientists who are able to work independently and as part of the team.
