Grade 7: £29,541- £36,298 p.a.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist with extensive postdoctoral research experience in human immunology, with proven research skills in T cell immunity. Under the supervision of Professor Andrew McMichael you will be part of the research group focusing on studies of HIV-1 specific CD8 T cells induced in acute HIV-1 infection.

You will have expertise in cellular immunological techniques including multiparameter flow cytometry, virus inhibition assays, ELISpots and tissue culture. You must have prior experience in working with HIV-1 seropositive samples and working in Category III containment.

It is essential that you have a PhD/DPhil in immunology or a related biomedical science and two or more first author research articles in high-calibre refereed journals.

This is a 5-month, fixed-term position based in the new NDM Research Building at the Old Road Campus, Headington.
