文档摘要:美国康涅狄格大学健康中心免疫学研究

Postdoctoral position is available to work in the areas of innate immunity, molecular immunology and Toll-like receptors (TLRs) in Dr. Andrei Medvedev’s lab in the Department of Immunology, University of Connecticut Health Center, Farmington, CT. Research projects in the laboratory are focused on 1) regulation of TLR signaling during TLR tolerance, infection and autoimmunity 2) mechanisms by which polymorphisms in TLR2, TLR4 and IRAK kinases alter bacterial sensing and innate responses, and 3) development of peptide and small molecule mimics and antagonists for correction of misregulated TLR signaling in sepsis and autoimmunity

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in immunology, biochemistry, or related disciplines, be motivated and have independent thinking, strong organizational and communication skills. They should be proficient in cell culture, FACS, transient/stable transfection, luciferase reporter assays, immunoprecipitation and Western blotting, RT-qPCR, cloning and sequencing, in vitro kinase assays and other advanced techniques. Knowledge of animal work and handling/genotyping of transgenic and KO mice is required.
