Application is invited for the position of Lab Administrative Assistant in the group of Dr Jeremy Murray at the Shanghai Institute for Plant Physiology and Ecology (SIPPE) to provide organizational and technical lab support.
 
Group Description
The focus of the group’s research is on nodulation, which is the symbiotic interaction between nitrogen fixing soil bacteria called rhizobia and legume plants. Our model system is Medicago truncatula-Sinorhizobium meliloti symbiosis.
 
Job Description
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, an ability to work well with others. Good English language skills, scientific background, and lab experience are considered an asset. The post holder will be expected to assist the current lab manager in lab organization, purchasing, translating documents, organizing lab activities, arranging travel for lab members, and assisting in routine or organizational laboratory tasks.
 
Salary to match experience. The current position is for six months probationary contract period, with opportunity to transfer to a permanent staff position.
