Research Fellow in Health/Medical Statistics

£36,382 rising annually to 39,739 Full Time, Permanent - Research

This exciting new post will provide health/medical statistics support for the researchers within the Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR). This will include providing methodological advice for grant applications, performing ongoing statistical evaluations, teaching and supervising research students, and contributing to academic publications and reports. The role would be particularly suitable for an academic statistician interested in developing innovative approaches to early phase clinical trials and experimental healthcare studies.

OxINMAHR is based at Oxford Brookes University and comprises 3 Research Centres and 4 additional research groups (with a total 6 Professors and 46 health researchers). The institute produces world-class translational health research that has an impact on health service delivery and clinical practice. In the last financial year (2020/2021) OxINMAHR researchers were awarded n=28 grants totalling £4.8 million. The institute currently supports n = 46 Doctoral students including 2 Professional Doctoral programmes. OxINMAHR and Oxford Brookes University are partners of the Oxford Academic Health Partnership.
