The Department of Surgery at the Duke University School of Medicine is seeking to hire a motivated Post-doctorate Associate. The Kasotakis lab is a lab conducting research aiming to mitigate the inflammatory response in a murine model of pneumonia and Acute Lung Injury/Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Candidates should have a solid understanding of key inflammatory pathways and experience with a wide range of analytical techniques, including protein analysis, RNA isolation, rtPCR & immunohistochemistry. Experience with small animals & -omics analytics is preferred. Flexibility, teamwork, excellent analytical skills & having the initiative to drive novel projects forward are expected.
The ideal candidate would be a motivated, productive new or mid-career post-doc, who can function independently and run a basic / translational science lab.
