　　Job Description

　　A postdoctoral fellow is being recruited for an exciting research project aiming to gain an understanding of how probiotics and pathobionts metabolize dietary nutrients into different ligands that elicit dissimilar host mucosal responses . Individuals eligible to be employed as a postdoctoral researcher should have completed their PhD studies within the last four years.

　　Qualifications

　　Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in microbiology, biochemistry, food science, nutrition or related disciplines. Experience working with gut microbiome and bioinformatics preferred. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English are a precondition.

　　Position description

　　The fellow will be employed at the Department of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience, New Jersey Medical School, Rutgers University, about 12 miles west of New York City. The fellowship is funded by a NIH grant and is renewable annually for up to 3 years.
