  Job Description

  A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Physics Division, of the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Michigan. The specific project will involve the use of complex systems analysis and machine learning techniques to support real-time analytics for knowledge-based decision-making in radiotherapy/oncology. The successful candidate will be involved in the development of modern terrestrial and cloud-based infrastructure algorithms for response adaptive decision-making. The position offers a unique opportunity to work in a world-class research environment, with state-of-the-art facilities and with strong collaboration with many researchers and clinicians from diverse fields. It also offers exciting projects opportunities that include but not limited to develop new algorithms for distributed machine learning, reinforcement learning, real-time analytics, quantum computing, dynamic decision support, and advanced computational modeling of treatment outcomes.

  A PhD or equivalent degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is required. Good computing and programming skills are important for this position preferably in Matlab, Python or C/C++.
