Postdoctoral positions: pluripotent stem cell-derived human lung organoids
Columbia University Irving Medical Center
Three postdoctoral positions are available at the Columbia Center for Human Development, Columbia University Medical Center, New York in the laboratory of Dr. Hans-Willem Snoeck (www.snoecklabstemcells.org) to study 3D lung organoids derived from human pluripotent stem cells (see Chen et al. Nat Cell Biol., 19:542-549, 2017). One project will focus on approaches to introduce blood vessels and innate immune cells. A second project will involve genome-wide analysis of the developmental trajectory of these 3D organoids. A third project will use organoids to model idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. MD and/or PhD degree and minimum commitment of 4 years are required. Published expertise in stem cell biology or developmental biology and/or in bioinformatics are desirable. Please send CV and names of three references to Dr. Hans-Willem Snoeck, hs2680@columbia.edu.
