Subject: Postdoctoral fellow position in the lab of Dr. Nadia Roan (Associate Professor, UCSF) to study HIV transmission and pathogenesis
An NIH-funded postdoctoral research position is available in the Roan laboratory at UCSF. The goal of the project is to use mass cytometry and single-cell RNAseq to characterize the types of tissue immune cells susceptible to latent and productive infection, and to identify single-cell immune signatures of HIV-associated disease. We are seeking an independent and highly motivated candidate with a Ph.D. in the life sciences, preferably immunology or microbiology, with experience in tissue culture and flow cytometry. Of particular interest would be those with additional experience in mass cytometry and/or single-cell RNAseq analysis. The successful candidate will have appointments at both UCSF and the J. David Gladstone Institutes.
