Post-Doctoral Research Associate
King's College London - School of Cardiovascular Medicine and Sciences
The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £37,706 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be a fixed-term contract for 3 years.
This is a full-time post
The successful candidate will be carrying out work on a 3-year project grant funded by the MRC that aims at identifying compounds that could interfere with pathological signalling in dilated cardiomyopathy. The project is three tiered and involves high-end microscopy (FRAP, FRET), detailed molecular analysis (employing biophysical techniques such as SEC-MALS, ITC) and a high-throughput drug screen using a FRET-based method.
We are looking for an experienced postdoc, who has a proven track record of independent working, excellent time management and the interest to expand their technical repertoire (ideally either a structural biologist who wants to learn more about imaging or a cell biologist who is prepared to get acquainted with biophysical techniques).
The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview.
