Postdoctoral scholar positions are available immediately to study the relationship between human blood abnormality and malaria in Africa and Asia. Areas of particular interests include genetics, molecular and clinical epidemiology of G6PD deficiency, sickle cell anemia, thalassemia and Duffy antigen. The positions will involve considerable field work in Africa and Asia. The candidates should have a strong background in human genetics, must hold a Ph.D. degree and possess an outstanding publication record. Prior experience on malaria parasites is not required.
