美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校眼科学博士后招聘

　　The lab of Dr. Napoleone Ferrara is seeking a highly motivated individual for a postdoctoral research position at the University of California San Diego.

　　The successful candidate will join a team focusing on the regulation of ocular angiogenesis. The projects will involve identification of novel targets implicated in resistance to VEGF inhibitors in wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and in other disorders. Strategies to protect the choriocapillaris in dry AMD will be investigated. A series of approaches will be employed, including the use of novel imaging technologies and mutant mice.

　　Qualifications Required/Academic Background

　　MD or PhD degree in a biological discipline and hands-on knowledge of molecular and cellular biology techniques are essential. Knowledge of models of intraocular neovascularization models such as laser-induced choroid neovascularization or oxygen induced retinopathy is highly desirable.

　　First author publications in respected peer-reviewed journal are a requirement.
